Within each workspace, will everything that is created like Wikipages, Bloggs , Trackers and so on. Will they be restricted automaticly for that Group assigned to the workspace?
I want to set up separated areas for differnt groups, but have one group that have higer permissions, in all the other groups. Possible?

/Kind Regards
Erik

Yes, Erik, go ahead. You only need to invest some time to train yourself in the use of workspaces. It takes some time to learn the first time, but you can do it, and it's much faster using workspaces very you knwo about them.

OK, I'm trying but I'm in desperat time need!!! confused
How do I need to do to hide the content in each workspace for each other?
If just add two WS'es and assign them to two different groups, they can browse to eachother's content, like wikipages and blogs.

Is there a "Step by step" quick guide to how I need to add workspaces and assign rights?

/Kind regards

Erik, assign and read the workspaces_Assistant module.
You need to set up the permissions under workspace roles.
Check that when a workspace is created, its reources have local permissions assigned, which allow permissions for the group of users of that workspace, but no one else.

If you give me an url and account to look at your configuration, I might try to help, even if I'll have more time after friday Sept. 21st.

I feel that it is the rights inheritance that confuse me. I create a "WS Role" (is this the same as a "Group"?). And then try to assign the rights that I want this Role to have. But it has all these permissions that are inherited from the groups "Anonymous" and "Registred". How should I do to remove those inherited rights?

Go to "Agmin > groups > Anonymous" and " > Registered" in order to grant/remove perms, as usual with tiki sites.

Yes, okey.
Do You know why all the new groups inherit the rights from "Anonymous and Registered"?
I'm curious becaus I saw somewhere in release info of the "1.9.8 Beta" that in a future version those groups would become uneditable?
I can see a point in users being automaticly added to "Registered", but I can remove them if I don't want them there, I cannot do that with my groups that I create? question

What would You recomend as a base-system?
I have TW 1.9.7 installed with "Basic Enabled Profile", or should I run it in "Default Profile"?
I think I will remove everything I've created so far, all the groups and users, I belive it will be easier to get a grip on everything then.
And then spend some time in creating a Workspace Type that suites our need.

Any option /Eric. Remember to test in a trial environment first (user http://tikiwiki.org/TikiLiveCD if you can't have a local copy of your tiki for testing and training yourself in workspacs usage). Then, when you got the configuration you were looking for, then go to reproduce it to your production environment. This way you'll keep your production environment clean and neat.
